Getting Started
The first iteration of the Beam web wallet offers users a simplified version of the desktop and mobile wallets. Version 1.0 of the web wallet only allows users to send, receive or hold coins, with more advanced features (DAPPS, Atomic Swaps) in the works for future releases.
The web wallet will always be on in the background, ready to receive new transactions at any given moment.

After installing the chrome extension, you can begin setting up your web wallet by clicking on the chrome extension
to the right of your web address bar and selecting the Beam web wallet icon
.

- 1.Launch Beam Web Wallet.
- 2.Click Restore wallet or Create new wallet.
- 3.Begin seed verification process. You can skip the process initially, but your wallet will not be eligible to begin sending or receiving transactions.
- 4.Verify your seed phrase.
- 5.Create wallet password.
- 6.After you have created a wallet password, your wallet will begin to sync with the blockchain (this may take some time).
Create a new wallet or restore an old wallet upon first launching the web wallet.

Keep your wallet seed phrase secret, and never share your seed phrase with anyone!
Please do not write your seed phrase down electronically, take a screenshot or store it anywhere vulnerable to cyber attacks. Pen and paper are unhackable and recommended. Make multiple copies of your seed phrase and store them somewhere safe!

Verify your seed phrase by re-entering your seed phrase in random order.

Select a password (eight characters minimum, at least one letter, number, or special symbol) that will give you access to your Beam wallet. Your wallet password is an extra lock for your device, while your seed phrase is a private key that identifies your wallet and can access your funds.
Choose a strong password.

Users can Send, Receive and hold Beam coins once the web wallet metamask synchs up with the Beam blockchain.
